Here are several popular waterfall hikes in Los Angeles:
Escondido Falls Tucked away in the Santa Monica Mountains in Malibu, Escondido Falls is one of the biggest waterfalls in Southern California. This 150-foot tall waterfall is found roughly 3.8 miles from the trailhead along the Pacific Coast Highway. Millard Falls An out-and-back trail, Millard Falls is found after a short hike along Millard Creek. Standing only 50 feet tall, the falls are fed by rainwater and are best seen during wetter seasons. However, hikers can take the 1.5-mile trail there all year round. Sturtevant Falls One of the San Gabriel Mountains’ most popular hikes, Sturtevant Falls takes hikers along 3.3 miles of pristine creek and resort-era cabins. At the end of the historic trail is one of the best waterfalls in the Angeles National Forest. Eaton Canyon Falls Located in Altadena, Eaton Canyon Falls is a moderate hike complete with several stream crossings and boulders. Covering 3.5 miles of land, the falls at the end of the hike have a wide pool at the bottom where hikers can cool off.
